I know that egg production isn’t the reason you guys keep American Gamefowl, but let’s say you have 2 really good hens everything’s the same except that 1 hen lays 2 dozen eggs a year and the other lays 6 dozen eggs a year would you guys cull the hen that lays less eggs in favor of the hen who lays more eggs?

Do you want more eggs? If so keep and breed the hen that lays more eggs. More than likely she’ll go tits up first though.

When I watch the young stags, they always look so long and lanky, but I have to remember, they should fill in as they mature and look more stout.
