Simplicity is a thing of the past I'd much rather have crank windows and vehicles that didn't rust out in 5-10years. 95% of Everything is meant to break these days sooner than years before and built cheaply. But they are being built safer and the computers in these things will blow your mind at what they can do so it's not all bad but not something I'd want to mess with.

Just to add back when I had my shop a tow truck towed in a new outback as I'd do estimates on the wrecks and maybe get the work. Anyhow it wouldn't let you turn the wheel it would fight you and straighten them back up an no joke that car called 18 different state police stations while sitting there trying to get it off the truck and into a spot.

I did for my whole life until I bought my Tacoma in 2014. I liked my Jeep but the new ones are sh*t and overpriced.
Tacomas are great trucks! The first vehicle I had when I turned 16 was and old Toyota truck. That thing would go anywhere. I haven't driven the older Jeeps, but drove a new one several months ago and was not impressed with the quality of it at all. It does not even come close to a Tacoma.

My buddy had a newer Honda Pilot he wanted to trade for a new jeep I told him not to everyone I worked on seemed cheap. Anyhow he did it next thing I hear is will you tune this jeep? As I've got hptuners and I can tune many vehicles for better mileage, power, shifts etc etc and monitor it all on the lab top. I just said I told you so lol he's stuck with it now lol, I just found it funny you had it 3hours and already wanting more from it.

I've got 2 vehicles with crank windows, my Jeep and then 1 of our old
clunkers...and '84 S-10. Oh boy, the S-10 is fun to drive, but it has no air, no headliner, you can see the road from inside (boot missing around transfer shift). Drivers door has no interior padding and you have to pull on 2 bars to open the door unless you have the window down, then you can reach out and open it. The window does crank, but it requires 2 hands, the clips that hold the window back are long gone, so you crank and hold the window in it's track. Best of all...the crank falls off as soon as you slam the door shut:gig
It's weak as water but will go just about anyplace. I mainly use it to haul junk off, last time I went to the scrap yard - I had 1000lbs loaded on that baby:D

I have an 09 impala. It has a sensor problem every other day. :thI hate that stupid car. :he
This old girl has never left us stranded on the side of the road. . but the impala has!!

I’ve driven the new ones when they first came out. Terrible. Underpowered at the time for what they were. Now everyone buys them fully loaded with all kinds of crazy stuff. Kinda defeats the purpose but that kinda stuff doesn’t sell anymore. I’ll take an old renegade. One of these days I’ll build another old Jeep. I drove my Jeep back and forth from GA a bunch of times. Terrible on gas with the inline 6 but that thing never left me stranded.
I have the Tacoma off road with the locking rear. Let me tell you I buried that thing in the snow 2yrs ago and damn near froze my fingers off with -20 windchills. So.. old jeeps better at 4 wheeling, all around Tacoma is still better.

I've been getting some really weird recommendations on you tube ever since we all posted all those different songs. That one was just funny. .but I actually like a lot of that groups stuff! :lau
I have too. Then again I look at a lot of weird stuff so it could just be me. :gig
