Do any of you people have an Orscheln in your area? I do a lot of shopping there.

Never heard of that one either. Maybe I need to get out more. I haven’t really been to the Midwest though.
I remember a Fleet Farm in Wisconsin though. I liked that store.

I like Walmart, it keeps all those people there so I don’t have to deal with them

Our closest one is about 25 miles away...

we have a dollar general in both little towns that we are between ... which are both about 12 miles from us either way....

We have a few other ‘gettin places’ but nothing called Roses...

I think our closest Orshlens is about 35 miles away, but we have some mom and pop feed stores, an MFA and a couple of other independently owned farm supply stores around...

And to bring all back around to how we got going on gettin places ... we have one fly shop in town

Ever been to a Scheels ? I think they’re based out of MN but might be in WI too... they’re kinda like Cabelas/Bass Pro...

I know what they are but I don’t think I’ve ever been in one. I seem to remember driving by one though. Can’t remember where. Hmm. I go to fly shops whenever I can. Now I usually order online from fly shops with an actual shop. I like to do my part. I could care less if cabelas/bass pro went tits up too.

I think our fly shop does a lot (most ? ) of their business online... nice older couple own it... I bought new wader boots earlier this year from them and paid a little too much there, but figured I like having a shop in town, so I was doing my part

Can you give me the name of it?

Yeah it’s important to buy from them. To hell with the big places. Some rods and all are worth buying for cheap but if I’m buying something expensive they’re the same price anyway and I’d rather give it to the little guy. Besides those big places sell all kinds of crossbows and baitfishing supplies.

Ha! small world... I’ve been in that first store about 20 years ago... the guys behind the counter seemed bothered by me asking for something ... might have been archery related, I can’t recall... but they really seemed uppity, so I just said ‘sorry to bother you’ and turned and walked out, I drive by it a couple times a year, but I’ve never once been back, lol
