Does she happen to have any Cuban in her? I don't have much experience with Cubans, but mine have those primary feathers like that and will have a white tip in a tail feather sometimes too. They come and go with successive molts.

Yea she does actually. That makes sense that i haven't seen it in her yet. She's year old and just came out of molt

Nah not yet. I was chasing ducks again. I moved spots and none flew close enough.
I did have a beaver all fired up though. There’s actually chain pickerel in these beaver ponds. They’re not too awful big but they can be fun.

I used to be able to wade that spot where the lodge is like 10 yrs ago. It’s about 10 ft deep now where the beavers scoop mud from the bottom. Ask me how I know it’s deeper than it used to be.

Got some pretty places in NJ where you're at, I just looked through a welding helmet most of the day about roasted my chestnuts a couple times ya know the usual.
