Don’t tell him I said so, but I think the regulations on your boy’s situation are out of touch with the MDCs own technology...

...meaning I think as long as he had a valid any deer permit in pocket, he should be able to shoot first and buy another anterless tag with his phone, since that’s the system they have in place...

... as long as he doesn’t transport it before purchasing and tagging it, I think that should be okay...

...but I doubt they’ll change that anytime soon.... with all of that said, I’d be fine if the took away the phone stuff and went back to driving them to checkin stations too ... so I don’t feel strongly about if either way

if you’re going to let people buy tags on demand update the regs to be in line...

...particularly the way the archery permit is structured where the base permit gives you two deer and two turkeys anyway...
