American Gamefowl

....I like my holidays 1 at a time...

This is our general rule too, but I just came back in from the front porch and noticed my wife got a hold of this last night whilst I was out...

I’ll play her havoc’s Christmas songs tonight to even the score, lol

Every man and women in my opinion needs to know the basics at bare minimum.
I used to know some of the basics
My Dad wanted us to learn how to do various things. I remember in driver's ed, a paper was sent home with us for a parent to sign - the objective was that the student could change a tire, know how to check oil/water/fluids, etc. I asked Dad to sign it. He looked at me and said - If I sign this, I'm stating you know how to do all this, well...DO you?! I knew how to check oil, etc., but I had never changed a tire - well, I learned that weekend! I had to do it all by myself while he watched (offering tips along the way). I'll never forget it. Later on I had a '66 Mustang. I was shown how to clean/adjust points and spark plugs, change oil, etc. It was expected that I do this on a regular basis - I had to to keep the thing running! LOL My Dad is 90yrs old now, isn't able to do much anymore, but I sure learned a lot from him.

Case in point, the 4wd on my canyon is out right now... I pretty sure it’s a switch or the actuator
Yeah, it is...
The buttons work but it won’t engage... I do hear the switch under the seat click ... fuse checks out... there are supposed to be a switch at each wheel I need to check and then the actuator, but it’s the higher dollar part so I was going to rule out the others first...
I haven’t dug into it much yet...but its typical that it takes me 10 times longer to figure out the issue than to fix it, lol

:barnie Oh boy! Must be common! One of my GMC's needs an actuator too (we think). That will be worked on here shortly (I hope) before bad weather starts up. Only time vehicles around here go to a garage is for tires or inspection.
I was actually thrilled to find out 1 Chevy we have is so old, it's exempt from inspections, but of course, it's still taxed:)

I like that decoration! I think I would just give her a pass - no need to start Holiday drama just yet:gig
