I’m triggered by people and their noise in general, lol

No, never been there, I won’t float any stretch that caters to the crowds... or if I do occasionally, I do it in the off season or off times ...

I’ve actually only experienced that nonsense once when I floated with some friends that set up the trip... but I was a bit shocked, and I’m not exactly a prude... but locally the families just stay home on the weekends because of all that...

Of course we did have a local shoot and kill a tourist a while back, but we figured he had it coming, and the other fella is in the clink now, so I guess that’s progress, lol

The time I went there was a guy that had a wrangler patch tattooed on his butt cheek. . he was pretty happy to show it off.
Funny how the authorities came and give him a stern talking to. . but it was perfectly fine for the women to flash their tops all day.

Quite literally sometimes. .
One guy ditched his drunk wife in the middle of the river .. Left her just sittin on a rock and paddled on.

I spend time outdoors hunting, fishing and trapping to enjoy the quiet and alone time or with someone who isn’t annoying.
I use canoes because I can’t stand the sound of a boat motor early in the morning. Paddling is quiet and forces you too slow down whether fishing or just cruising along somewhere. For those willing to pay attention will see a helluva lot more wildlife and learn more in the process. I’m guessing most don’t care though. Typical dumb*sses.
I’ve never been into 4 wheelers, dirt bikes or anything else that makes a lot of damn noise.
I think people would be surprised how much more enjoyable the time can be if they would slow down and pay more attention while out there.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 100 times: it used to be that folks went to country to enjoy the peace and quiet, these days people go to the country to make noise...

or worse they move out to the country and bring all their toys with them and can’t seem to be happy without some sort of noise

And then folks want to pass laws to “bring back the wildlife” and take rights away from the folks that fund conservation efforts because they never see any of the critters they scared off with all the noise

LOL Yes, "back in the day" some of those things were fun. Used to ride 4 wheelers, sometimes hang out and watch folks get stuck in mud holes, etc.
Now, it seems annoying.

We do have some OHV trails in NC. I've never been, but got some family that goes.

Maybe because I grew up in the sticks, but I always went to town to be rowdy and obnoxious ... and I’m certain I was both

I think people just suck more than they used to ( bet the old timers said the same thing, lol) but also there are just so many more of them, all being more sucky

I’m glad I didn’t get old like everyone else
