I’m pretty sure ours get locked up pretty tight with closed roads and signs to prevent that...

I know a piece that I would love to be on during November with archery tackle, but it’s off limits middle of October after duck season starts...

It seems silly to me that duck hunters and bow hunters couldn’t use the same place at the same time... but I guess there’s a reason for it

Oh ours are signed off and well marked too. There’s one dirt road in that runs across a dike separating the tidal marsh from 4 different impoundments. A few trucks parked along the road too. He had to know he was in an area where hunters were especially on a Saturday. Then again people are stupid as hell.
I have no idea why they wouldn’t allow bow hunting in the area. They sure aren’t bothering the duck hunters.

Must be one of those hippie types that says it’s “public land” I have just as much right to be here swimming amongst the ducks even if people are hunting. I pay taxes!

If rainman will allow it I have one more story?
I was bow hunting a state forest and just laid down a scent trail with code blue deer piss. I didn’t even get back to my stand before I heard crashing through the brush. A buck was coming that fast! I could barely make out his antlers. He wasn’t huge a big six or smaller 8. Anyway I managed to get up in my stand and he stopped and hung back in the thick stuff. A few minutes go by and I heard some brush breaking again. Wouldn’t you know it here comes some little old lady walking down the trail right in the middle of the rut!! She scared off the deer and I Swear on my life stopped to sniff my little tinks orange containers I had hung on the trail. I even had pictures of her!! She shook her head like this stinks! Didn’t look around or nothing just sniffed and kept walking?! I could not believe what I was seeing! So...these two little orange stinky things just magically appeared in the woods and she never gave it a second thought.
