I think havoc was right, it would have made a better wallet, lol

I tried a piece rare, and it tasted about like spam...

Left it on longer with some hickory smoking, and it crisped up and tasted a bit like pork rinds but with a little off flavor...

I can see where if you were an old timey trapper that lived off of lean meat, it would be a treat though...

Still have the hind quarters in the crockpot... we’ll see if they’re fit to eat, or if I just wasted an onion and two bell peppers

I think the meat is ok but I damn sure wouldn’t want to eat the tail. The problem with the beaver tail leather is it looks like the cheap *ss 80’s imitation leather. Lol

My buddy use to have this ratty wallet that was 3 inches think and needed a rubber band to stay closed

I gave him a beaver tail wallet one year, and he’s had it ever since, been at least 4 years... it looked a little rough last time I noticed, but at least it wasn’t 3 inches think, lol

Pro tip for the “reusable” tree crowd:

If you miss the experience of getting sticky sap on your hands when putting up the tree just rub some maple syrup between your palms first
