I think the meat is ok but I damn sure wouldn’t want to eat the tail. The problem with the beaver tail leather is it looks like the cheap *ss 80’s imitation leather. LolI think havoc was right, it would have made a better wallet, lol
I tried a piece rare, and it tasted about like spam...
Left it on longer with some hickory smoking, and it crisped up and tasted a bit like pork rinds but with a little off flavor...
I can see where if you were an old timey trapper that lived off of lean meat, it would be a treat though...
Still have the hind quarters in the crockpot... we’ll see if they’re fit to eat, or if I just wasted an onion and two bell peppers![]()
