American Gamefowl

View attachment 1986516 my question is though. . under nuisance animals .. Would "any means" include setting traps. . and or specifically those types of traps?
I couldn't even get our conservation agent to give me a clear answer on this regarding the fox.
He kinda wanted to straddle the fence. He's like, yeah you can dispatch an animal attacking your livestock. . but he wanted to dance around the question if we could legally trap and then kill. .

Btw, as I understand it, in MO you can trap and relocate a problem critter without notifying anyone

But if you dispatch it, you’re supposed to notify the MDC, and then they might take the carcass and ask for proof of property damage, etc...

It seems though that no one really contacts them for problem raccoons, etc.

@roosterhavoc

Don’t judge me on this rusty trap, lol

my buddy treats them like they’re disposable by losing them or leaving them spread out over 3 counties... so no telling where this one spent the summer...

But am I misunderstanding 10” diagonal?

I’m not sure. What’s the measurements too to bottom and side to side?

Ya. Relocate them :barnie
Pretty much he just kept telling us to call him if we shot or trapped a fox.
I'm not complaining he's been good to us. Probably didn't wanna answer anything directly in case he had to make a house call due to nosy neighbors. :rolleyes:
I really don't think he cares what we would do with a raccoon or other small critter. But he seemed concerned over the foxes.

Earlier on line I found 10.25x 10.5 for belisle and 10x9 for duke ... but I didn’t measure the one in the truck... I’m guessing it’s a Duke or Bridger
Belisle are listed as a 10 inch jaw spread. I believe that’s going across the triggers from side to side. Some of these measurement laws are ridiculous. I’ve only used belisle and our laws are 10 inch across triggers. Who knows.
