Got some traps set today... so hopefully I’ll have some critters in the morning ... but it was 67 degrees today... so who knows if anything will be moving ...
I was reading some tracks in the sand of a dry creek and was onto a bobcat and trying to decide how to set... and studying a blow down when I noticed some honey comb... looked up on the bank and saw the base of the blow down that had this wild bee hive in it...
I had a blue tarp and some bungee cords in the truck so I wrapped it up to try to keep weather off... but they might have been weakened from the exposure already so we’ll see come spring...
Kinda fun to find a wild hive while walking a cat track, but there was a big coon den tree right there so I’m probably going to have a good coon catch come morning
