American Gamefowl

Got some traps set today... so hopefully I’ll have some critters in the morning ... but it was 67 degrees today... so who knows if anything will be moving ...

I was reading some tracks in the sand of a dry creek and was onto a bobcat and trying to decide how to set... and studying a blow down when I noticed some honey comb... looked up on the bank and saw the base of the blow down that had this wild bee hive in it...

I had a blue tarp and some bungee cords in the truck so I wrapped it up to try to keep weather off... but they might have been weakened from the exposure already so we’ll see come spring...

Kinda fun to find a wild hive while walking a cat track, but there was a big coon den tree right there so I’m probably going to have a good coon catch come morning

Wow that's cool!

Long time ago a lady at work was talking chickens with my old custodian/bus driver pal that gave me my first ducks. He's a smart a** and a jokester and this lady was so naive and didn't get jokes so he was always pulling something on her.
Anyway. .she asked him what color his rooster is.
He straight face answered her . . "he's rooster color" and walked away :lau:confused:
We all died laughing while she pondered that. :gig

They are looking good, keep up the good work
Thanks! :)

I luv that white poof at the base of his tail :love
No posts for over 10 hours? Where the heck are all of you? Another camping trip without me? :hit
I like the 'poof' too LOL My photos really stink, so he looks even better than that, Really!

I thinks they are lost in the woods, swamp or maybe a dam busted?! I don't know:confused:
Could be nice weather, holidays, kids out of school, they hate us...ehh, they will show up sometime.

It was 67F earlier today, so took advantage of that and got some stuff hauled to the dump (Fun) Gonna start raining, I was just beginning to like this weather too:(
