American Gamefowl

Here too. Not as bad as yesterday but enough to make it feel way colder than it actually is. 😐
My face and toes are frozen. Just got back. Making more coffee.
View attachment 2006287this one was a boar. It seemed a bit harder to skin to me. Or maybe just cause my hands were freezing.
It had a lot more meat and fat around the tail area. I messed it up trying to cut around it. View attachment 2006288oh. . and that plastic stripper is a joke.
What does the stripper do?

Oh, I see (sort of, I've never done that of course LOL)

Whatcha going to make out of him? :pop
 well I haven't really done any sewing besides just basic mending since home ec. Way back in HS. Lol. So probably nothing. I'm basically just practicing on these for now, maybe use a couple of them for dog training. If I can get good enough to be able to sell them then I'll do that eventually. There are just so many in the area out there they are into everything. .I'm hoping to reduce their numbers. It's going to be a constant battle once we move the birds out there. 😐

Me and Bonnie had a stalker.... at least he didn't have a huskie with him lol.

It's windy and cold here, but he followed us the whole way out and back to the house.

You have to skin the tail out further than you think before using the stripper. Did you flesh the pelt yet?
Yeah I've noticed. Lol.

No I am still working up the nerve to drag the board outside and start on it. šŸ˜‚
It's probably gonna suck.
I'll bet that area where I cut into the hide is going to be a problem isn't it.

Do you have a garage or shed? Why do it outside?
Yeah be careful around the cuts or you’ll tear the tail off.
