No that was when I got him home. He seemed ok. I kept him in my growout pen until evening and could put him in my main coop with my hens. I named him Elvis because he's been dancing all morning for my hens and he's just so flashy looking. I know I'm silly for naming him but it just fits and my kids like him.

Most don't name their GF, but I named mine :)

I hope he does well with you! Do your hens seem to like him?

My kids like naming the birds so all the hens have names, even our last rooster had a name he was Mr. Sparkles. He was an a**hole on a good day but he did a great job taking care of his ladies.
The hens seem much happier with him around today, they've been acting weird since our other rooster was killed. I just like watching how Elvis dances for them and he makes some different noise than what I'm used to but all in he seems to be settling in good.

LOL Elvis is a good name!

Funny you mention that...I'm still pretty new to having GF, but the roosters do make different noises/sounds than "layer breed" roosters. He's going to be entertaining for you to watch!
