American Gamefowl

I was fortunate unough to get 6clutches so far. Maybe 1 or 2 more if I'm lucky
Wow,cursed NC weather hasn't let any hens gone broody, one day is cold next day is hot.
That’s awful cheap for a quality bird I don’t know what your plan is but if your just wanting pets you could probably get them and be fine. I’m sure others will chime in.
Might drive 2 hours and get one to see the chicks I can hatch if I combine 3 white hens and a black hen with one of those,if I like the results might get me another rooster in the future that's more expensive.

Nothing wrong with that everybody starts somewhere I’m just now getting started myself I’ve learned a lot and continue to learn each day. It’s a full time job with gamefowl I can tell you that there a lot more work than a regular old barnyard chicken but there well worth it and very enjoyable.

I'm in the mountains of NC and rains been crazy and it snowed like a week ago, but I have 4 hens sitting getting close to hatching all are previous good mommas minus one I haven't tried before but I've had her for 4 years. Heck I've had to break 3 others from sitting on duds.

Rain is terrible here too. It’s been everyday for the past two weeks can’t get anything done. Lol

Yeah I weedeated an mowed not 3 days ago and you can't tell it. I don't mind a little rain but these down pours multiple times a day gets old.
Yeah same here my grass seems like it grows two foot over night. I did manage to get the front yard done today before the rain hit but it’ll be grown up to my knees before I can cut it all again according to the forecast

I’ve got chicks that hatched in my shed up on the loft. I just heard them cheeping a little while ago. No idea how many there are. Lol
I don’t have any plans to hatch chicks this year. I might do a few but I’ve got plenty of birds.
I’d like to hatch a couple so far she’s got two eggs in the nest and the wife saw her sitting today while I was at work so fingers crossed she goes broody soon
