American Gamefowl

On a better note the wife picked up my Cuban/sweaters hens. Then on a bad note again she let one loose and I had to catch it. I think I just need to go back to bed and start over in the morning.

These are just gone the one blue one came back I'm afraid these aren't gonna do nothing. All of em were froze and stiff guess I'm lucky one pulled through.

Any more make it?

Well, you've had a busy day I see.

Correct and also to clarify what I was saying is she has 100% gamefowl she hatched from havoc eggs, but her female is just having a issue so if she gets that straightened out and or gets another female from him she'll have 100% games and I'm sure she's bummed that she is having issues but it happens.
I'm pretty certain she only did the game/layers for meat and eggs she don't plan on calling it nothing but what it is.
Thank you for clarifying. I didn't quite get what you were saying in the other post, I had to re-read it. Something was wrong with me some how When you said (she) I thought you were referring to a chicken :gig silly me  .

I don't see nothing wrong with crossing game birds with layers either .

Buddy their are chickens labeled as gamefowl that couldn't be further from gamefowl but are closer to leghorns.

That's a shame.

I get surprised when I hear about people doing stuff like that, but I forget they are doing it all around here to. Like My neighbor down the road he tried pulling a fast one on me , sold me a bunch of old sick chickens just to make a buck. I lost a lot of respect for him that day.

Thanks! Get up with me, we'll chat :)

Don, what are you going on about? LOL

The "She" that Sohc is referring to is "me" (I see you edited your original post LOL)
You have some GF/Silkie cross? Let's see 'em! I don't believe I've ever seen that before.

I thought I sounded mean so I edited it, lol.

I will have admit these birds are the result of two opposite breeds crossed.

I will see if I can get a picture for y'all . Unfortunately I have only one hen left that is a direct cross. I had a rooster but he died and the chicks that I made from them didn't look quite the same as the adults.

More bad news turns out 3 of the smokie blue or splash chicks were under the bucket gap and frozen aswell don't think these are gonna make it.
Add that on to my bad news... Sadly I got home late last night and forgot to lock up one of my broody hens. I woke up at 6:00. Ran out to check my birds and she's gone, just a pile of feathers left.

It's Part of keeping animals I guess.
