Years ago when I was having problems with red foxes I saw a gray fox cut the corner of my backyard. I ran to get the shotgun but I guess he heard me hit the steps to the deck and took off. He walked right by my pens and never even looked at the chickens. Fast forward a couple years and no more reds but now I’ve been dealing with grays. I’ve got baby rabbits in my yard and all. They will clearly bypass them and attempt to get the chickens. He’s just been hanging around hasn’t messed with birds yet. The only birds loose is the black hen and biddies but they go back in there pen at night.
