American Gamefowl

Aight another quick and stupid question why is his wings so low? Like idk is it just me? I’m talking about the one with the pea comb th front oneView attachment 2436485
Now my other question is this has to be a to be a roo right?View attachment 2436488
what’s the temp there? He looks hot. They do that to cool off.
Oh I read that wrong. That’s not a good pic to see how the wings are held naturally.

I’m not even sure it’s actually pretty cold but I know what you mean it’s not that it’s that the way he carries his wings it’s like very low I’m not sure if he has a wing problem or if he is asserting dominance
Take another pic when you get a chance. Yeah they’ll drop their wings a little sometimes when approaching another stag.

Young gamefowl males are called stags. That drives me nuts too.
I thought that was by age like when he is mature like 5-6 months cuz that’s what they call me here like okay stags are pollos and that’s when they first compete with combs and wattle only the back part removed leaving 3 spikes of the front comb then the third stage is Gallo which is just cock but when I refer to roo it be im
Thinking bout pollon which is when you can tell they are males just not pollos yet

They’ll drop their wings some if they’re sick too. Is he acting normal?
Generally it’s stag, bull stag and cock. Roo here is just a name for cockerels of the laying variety. I hate it though. I don’t have much explanation why.

yea he’s acting fine he just all of a sudden drops his wings and I have a cock who does the same his wings are very very low hanging even though it’s common with the bloodline they start sparring from day one the crow and mate as early as 3 months ,ohhhhh see I didn’t know that I just called them Roos because I thought that was what you called any young male but now I see what you mean,I get what you mean there are terms I hate as well with colorations like when people say giro grey instead of giro gray is the same just in English it points to the same or like people just say Rubio I mean there are so many varieties like specify

Likes been a said either he got worked up and over heated, got worked over a little by another bird or varmint or is sickly. What’s cold there? It’s been the coldest of 17 here this week not including the wind chill.

Ain’t none of my Cuban blood or any I’ve seen hold themselves like that for no reason they are proud and stand like it.
