No, not any GF hens. Stags/cockerels, yes. They taste like chickenšŸ˜

I assume the GF hens taste like chicken too...so you could make any dish you wish. Depending on age, slow cooking (crockpot or low slow oven) would probably be good. Serve with smashed taters, butter, cranberry and green beans.

šŸ˜‚ Well that response was buried so I just decided to ask again. And yes, I have too many birds and need to cull some or give them away. I didn't count on ONE GF hen having NINE babies. I thought she only had a few eggs under her. Only 3 of them are Roos.... Needless to say, I need to reduce 2/3rds of the total.

I'm just wondering what else to make with a GF carcass other than just stew. They are so small and lean.

Just turn them loose to run around. Easy

Look up recipes for Quail. IF young enough. If you are going to process the stags, then do them at about Quail size, then you would have a few options.
