I know. Just curious at the difference. I will begin to just stalk from here on out.

There is a big difference in the bantam variety since they are less than half the size of actual Old English gamefowl. Look on cackles website and you’ll see the difference between OE standard and OEGB.
The behavioral differences are huge comparing even the full size OE to American gamefowl based off the way and the reasons they’re bred.

Nic, are you saying that is what a pure RJF hen is supposed to look like? I thought they should be more streaked on the back, like this:

But in Googling RGF hen images I see both. Maybe there are regional differences? Trying to learn.

We got our first cold snap down to about 10 F. Most of birds have not been off roost since yesterday. They sleeping for most part.

Currently 61F and a little rain. "Supposed to" turn cold and snow overnight. Winter weather advisories have been going out all day. HOPE we don't get the wind they say we might. Regardless, spent some time adding, securing and/or changing out tarps/wind protection just in case.
It looks like it won't be anything major, if anything slippery and makes more mud so I can fall and break my butt

there are 5 sub types of RJF

From Wikipedia:

• G. g. gallus – from Southeast Asia
• G. g. bankiva – from Java and Sumatra
• G. g. jabouillei – from Vietnam
• G. g. murghi – from India and Bangladesh
• G. g. spadiceus – from Myanmar and Thailand

The birds around here are said to have come with Polynesian voyagers from the Marquesas Islands about 1100 to 1200 A.D. RJF are not endemic to Marquesas Islands but Marquesas are said to have been originally settled by voyogers from western Polynesian about 900 A.D. "Western Polynesia" is sort of ambigious so they could have been G. g.gallus, bankiva, jabouillei or spadiceus.
