Don't think mine are going to hatch

If you've got lots of eggs I'd be happy to take a dozen off your hands!

I had to take the peeps out and cleanup the incubator (stinky and dirty) so of course I had to remove the unhatched eggs to do it. I kept them under the lid portion of the incubator, still on, with the damp sponge to keep up humidity. It only took three minutes to dump and change the water (hot) but the temp drop for those three minutes may have caused them to die. I don't know. The eggs are also dirty from the peeps messing them while they were doing the fluff and dry. I've still got the incubator on this second lock down, but I don't want to keep cooking dead eggs, if they are dead. No way to know for sure unless I crack them open --- which I plan to do if they don't hatch by Sunday.

Bummer! I open and close and move the eggs daily because I have several batches I set each week. I am able to put them in a different bator if needed but I never do lock down or worry about humidity. Thats just because I have lots of eggs but if I bought eggs then I baby them and do lockdown and watch humodoty. It sucks when you loose them but I figure they were not stronge to begin with but then too, you dont want to just let them die without trying to hatch.

I had 3 fully formed chicks in eggs last weekend, that didn't hatch. I waited and waited, no luck. I don't know what went wrong. I have several due this coming weekend, Sunday/Monday is when I expect them. Hopefully I'll have better luck.

I just saw this on the WA. thread. Might help?
I was over on the feedback forum and learned some new things, I started having trouble putting a picture in my post and in the end it would not let me load one at all! someone finally said if you go to the account details editor and switch from Rich text editor to BBCode you can use your right click copy and paste and it will also allow you to embed a picture using the embed button at bottom right of the photo . you can find the button when you open the picture. although I still have to open another window to open my albums so I dont lose my post here in the reply box. work arounds for some small things yaaay!!
