I seem to end up with single chicks and I invented Brooder MAMA as seen here....covered a resin statue with polar fleece cut in strips like fringe so they can go over / under and get the mommie experience..........

I love this!

I haven't quite made anything like this, yet. I just hang a feather duster from the side.

I also have the exact same chicken beanie baby.

These are great ideas and that video was amazing!! Those have to be the most well developed babies on the planet! There were different surfaces as well; plastic, wood, grates, limbs.... Nothing was phasing those chicks!

Please keep the ideas coming!! I never would have thought of any of these.

I love my Serama babies. They do seem to be more mentally together than other breeds of chicks at the same age. Roosting? We got it, Mom! Bravery and being social butterflies? No problem! Learning to stand on the carpet like the big birds? Yeah, already starting, a few minutes at a time, at 5 weeks. They are amazing little guys! And cute. Did I mention they're super cute?

Going on three months, this boy looks much more BBRed than wheaten. His father is wheaten, and his mother's father is wheaten, but his mother's mother is silver duckwing, where the BBR color is coming from. Can't seem to approach wheaten with her, so she may be better suited to a different project.
