American serama thread!

Runner Ducks have their own version of table top. They are judged moving around in a pen, at the show's discretion, and although I have no idea what they're looking for, it's pretty fun to watch. Ducks make me giggle...

And as far as color breeding goes, I believe that I read something a while back about color categories in Malaysia. There were three categories, and there was an order of preference for each. I remember that the 'best' color was one that was red or buff based, but the others escape me. Granted, colors had very little to do with results, but it bears to mention that even the Malaysians aren't completely 'color blind.' I can't find my source, as it has likely been deleted from the forum where I read it. Something to chew on, I guess.
Oh my gosh, how fun that must be! I have yet to attend a show, though I've been to a huge "Rodeo" (county fair) in Texas. They had a chicken and rabbit and other animals that were judged, but it had already been done, you could just wander around and see the animals.
Id like help with colors if you can tell with babies .

I could be just wishing but Gingerbread the oldest and darkest has just a hint of a curl on the tips of his tiny wing feathers.
Oh my gosh, they're so SWEET! But of course, it's way too soon to guess colors. Anything can start coming out of them, LOL

I have wanted a pair of these for over a year, thought I would never be able to affod them, lo and behold! Look what I got, I am such a proud little person right now ! :)
A super huge congratulations! They're beautiful!

Here are my new little ones! 7 of them hatched on Friday/Saturday last week. These pics were taken when they were about a day old.

Brookhavens, You said on Bhep's thread that PeeWee hatched out of a Frizzle egg. Was the egg marked frizzle? None of mine were, and I had been hoping for the chance of having one. So if yours was marked and mine weren't I probably didn't get one I guess.

The chick in #2 looks just like my Noel (even the black streak in the beak). His wing feathers have started coming in jet black & bright white.

Yes it was marked frizzle. Funny thing was when Peewee was born she had a single feather that stuck straight up on top of her head. I almost named her Alfalfa because of it. No clue she was a frizzle until her feathers started coming in. All of the eggs she sent me were marked in some way so if yours weren't marked at all you may still get one.

All of mine said Ser. Oh well, I'll keep hoping, maybe one got mixed in somehow. Next time I'll ask if she can try and give me at least one. I'd really like to end up with a Silkied like her one boy ,too. He is sweet!!!
