If it is walking around and active it will probably be okay. Just keep him in the bator until he dries and be sure no other chicks can step on him while he recoups. I have had a few that lived after being helped out, so just wait see. Fingers crossed for you!

Just give him a little while. How long ago did he hatch? It can take a little while sometimes since their legs were so cramped inside the shell. You may try taking his legs and very gently flexing them for a little bit and see if it helps. Be sure whatever he has for footing is course enough to allow him to keep from slipping.

My first little serama hatched today! Came home to two EE's and a serama! 2 days early for the serama too! No one else shows any signs of hatching yet though.
It's from Berry and Toy who I bought from Fuzzybird!!! So cool!

for the little one, keep him in the bator to fluff out, it will take time for him to discover his legs, i know often with mine they sleep alot that first day or so- its shard work hatching

It's

it piped two days ago and it's head was in a bad place!do u think it will live???

I could tell because of the blood. My beautiful hen was like that when she was born and now she's brooding 5 chicks. Best thing to do is take a paper towel, wet it with warm water, squeeze the water out, and wrap the chick in a moist warm paper towel overnight. Make sure it's not too tight so it can get out of the towel if it wants too. And make sure you don't touch it until the next day. Ten leave it alone after unwrapping the next morning:D good luck to you and your peeper!;)
