American serama thread!

Serama's do not breed true to color type. Granted if you had two together with similar color type I would guess that the tenancy would be there but it is not guaranteed. On everything I have read about them they have not been able to get serama's to breed true to color. If I am wrong please let me know as I would love to have blue or lavender.

I tend to agree. I have 3 blues in the last batch and the breeder has no blues in her flock. They sure are adorable.

need two new interviews. the other two never responded.

info needed to know: some about prop 2 (humane treatment of battery hens)

after that please answer these questions:

1. Will this law really change how chickens are/will be treated?

2.What will happen with taxes if they are used to build new facilities?

2.Will this law really be able to make a difference?

4.How will this law effect the economy?

5.Will this effect all of California or only areas near the facilities?

6.What about out of state import of eggs?

7.Will the law effect backyard chicken owners?

8.If the law effects other states will it effect their economy as well as ours?

9.What plans are in effect if there were to be a disease breakout?

10.How is this law flawed (if at all)

thank you in advance

Would you do me a favor and ask her about shipping eggs? I really would like a blue one! If you do could you PM me the info is she would be willing?

Will do. I also hatched 10 little cuties this past weekend from eggs that came from Plymouth Rock Poultry in MA and 2 of them look blue. They don't have enough feathers to be sure yet but I'm hoping. Will let you know once they get more feathers.

Would anyone near Merced California be looking to trade a young Roo for a hen or two depending on quality? I can get pictures later if anyone is interested.

I know there are people working toward APA/ABA acceptance. I thought white had been accepted into the standard, but maybe not yet? Other than white, there's a large effort to develop black and wheaten varieties. Personally, one of the things I really enjoy about them is the range and randomness of the colors.

A lady near me is starting to work with blue.
