Heck, it doesn't bother me if he is poor quality, he looks great to me, pet quality is the best quality to me....

Along with the elk I believe that RedRoo gets lots of snow too....do you? I know it is wet on their side of the mountains. I tell them they are on the wet side...I am on the dry side. We have a small elk herd here and wildlife management is trying their hardest to have it dessimated. makes me mad. They say it is in "deer habitat" and need to be gone. Makes me ill. But I for sure get the snow...suppose to snow this weekend in fact...snow level down to 2800 feet.

Even though I live in this area ..... I have never seen an elk. Deer galore. Last year middle son and I were headed to the Methow Valley (30 minutes away but over a small pass)....there was a young black bear running down the middle of the road...very cool. I have seen lots of bear. I have gone hiking in the woods...only to walk out and realize that a large cat (mountain lion) had been following me in (tracks following me - inside my footprints going in on the trail)....but never have seen an elk. RR...I need to come visit you so I can experience ellk.

We just get a ton of rain it seems. not much snow but this year I think we will both get loads of snow.... Have you heard of NW Trek? Its a huge wildlife farm/park-Im like 5 minutes from them and their critters always seem to come visit us. Coyote is the worst. I have 8 foot fences because of them. No deer though. I think I saw 2 the last few months. We live on a small creek so we get lots of ducks in and the elk heard come 2 to 3 times a day. Its rutting season so you can see them fighting and breeding and hear the noise like a horn they make.

Where did you ride in the Methow? I used to live up Twisp River Rd and there are lots of trail heads there. North Lake, Lewis Lake...cant' remember the others. We rode horses into all of them. We also rode horses out from Lake Chelan, over the top of the mountain and came out at War Creek. The horses were Claude Millers and he had supplied horses for a Girl Scout camp. That was fun.

Sorry...this is off topic of Seramas...on the Washintonian site we tend to get side traked too.

So...How are everyone's birds? Did everyone do well at shows? Give us more photos.

I had asked but have not had answer so I will write again: The round wire things on tables with birds in them...I am assuming that this is a training tool. How is it used? Why? Thank you.

Suppose to snow here on Thursday. ...

They are drop cages you use them to train your birds to stand and stay on the table!
