I put plastic up around my pens yesterday and im glad I did. Only a few pens had ice on the water. Ducks and geese can break there own in the field but the seramas have no clue.

Ya i'm going to wrap mine today get them ready for the winter and all the little birds will get moved inside today . the sun is gone and winter is nipping at my heels .

I made a room in my bird barn and plastic it off to make a 10x12 and then put 6 cages in it and also birds on the floor. I have 3 lights to keep it warm. It did good but then I have my other 5 10x10 rooms without plastic. At least they are in from the rain but the cold sucks!

Speaking of winter heat, I was thinking about putting some kind of heat source in my Serama shack. its a 10 x 6 enclosed shed. I get into the mid 30's regularly during the night in wintertime. What do you all think is the safest heat source to keep the shed warm?
