my indoor stuff for the youngins is a rabbit cage with plastic base.... you can find them on craigs list cheap but that will house 3 or 4 easily

I am using a wire dog kennel that is the small size......24x18w and it is perfect for one little bird. If you google dog kennels, you will find them. TSC had a sale of 40% off so it came to $20 something dollars. I might be able to put up a photo later. I used fiberglass vent screening around the bottom because this little guy is so small, he walked right through the bars and came and found me in the kitchen.! I am using paper towel in the bottom so there is not litter to get all over. If I do add anything, it will probably be the corrugated shredded paper as I think it will be the least messy. When I let him out, he is with me. Waiting to get his diaper . In the meantime, the Kleenex company is benefitting. I just really love having him in the house and his cage is right in the family room with us. I also got a little carrier for when the weather is warm and I can take him with me. Hope this helps.
