That's why?! My god I feel bad for those hens, I have bruises and welts from him doing that. But I'm not so sure, his feathers around his head go up when I put my hand by his pen, he'll even bite me through the bars if he can. He comes flying out when ever my hand goes down. I'd try putting and older hen with him, but mine are all relatively young and run away from him, it looks like he's attacking them he's so rough with them. So maybe that is it....darn hormones. I'll definitely keep working with him if that is indeed the case. I'll try getting him some treats and continue to feed him from my hands when possible.

Also all my females are Seramas so they are all very much smaller than him. I weighed him a couple weeks ago and he was 23oz. Mine are 16 oz and lower.

Seriously Whitney, think Rooster and the old eye for an eye thingy......and you should be fine......once they grow up they are not quite the same like when a baby [snuggle-wise amount of time] but they will still be babes when you are holding and petting them...

No I only have Seramas. Maybe I'll look for a silver Sebright Hen. They're bigger right? I've been wanting a Sebright for a while, that would give me an excuse to get one.
