American serama thread!

Oh my gosh your Tribbles are adorable Ra!!! And yes silkies are the best broodies! My girl hatched some seramas for me :)

Set 7 eggs from my silkied pair and truffles/daphne/clarice (frizzle!) so hopefully the clarice eggs develop as I have never incubated her eggs!

This young kook lets me put him on a pedestal and pose him.
Your birds are so pretty! Thank you for the chance to incubate the 4 you sent. It's been 11 days now & unfortunately this is what I've got:

It's weird, 2 are really sloshy so I've tried to stand them up since I put them in. The other two I thought would develop but they all don't seem to want to cooperate. I'm so bummed. I've loved your birds since I first saw them. Maybe I should do something different?

So sorry to see this. I know how you must feel. Mine from Ra_ started to hatch and died because the hen was scared off the nest.

I don't know what's up. There's been all kinds of equipment & predator failures but they also don't seem to be doing well in incubators.
I'm advising people to only hatch with a broody until we figure it out.
I hatched eggs under broodies in bone dry conditions due to a space heater so I'm wondering if Tribble eggs need less humidity?

I'm sorry to everyone. It's got to be so disappointing.
Tribbles lay like crazy & are great Mothers. They're extremely popular but it's sure hard to establish colonies.
