Here are his buddies-two cockerels @Faraday40 brought to be with him. They will be 6 weeks on Friday.

I love the middle sized white one. Something so clean and pure about white. All three cockerela are absolute snugglers.
All 3 will carry the silkie gene. All 3 are related somehow.

This is Bella. She was born in February when the whole "we're gonna share eggs" fiasco with Phoenix and Pippin. Since there were only 2 females i kept both. I named her Bella because of her pretty color.

She does however have feathered shanks. It seems less than when first hatched. Hoping it disappears, but it may never fully go.

This is Bellas brother. The one February cockerel I kept because of his petite size. I just weighed him. He weighed 389g. Just slightly above the class A threshold. 😔I told him he needed to go on a diet.😂

Bella is very pretty. I also like her feathers. Those feathered shanks are odd, though. Teddy had a bit of fuzz at hatch but it was gone before 4 weeks old. She may not lose the leg feathers.

Here's a group hatched 2 years ago. If you zoom in, the 2nd from the end (right) had some fuzz. Every once in a while I get a chick like that.

I thought I would introduce myself first, I've had standard chickens for a long time and last year I was introduced to Seramas to show in my local 4H group. I got five Seramas from two breeders, and now have been to a couple of different shows, and they have all done very well. This summer I tried to hatch two pullets for a 4H friend, we hatched eleven chicks but only three (maybe four) are pullets. We are trying to find homes for the cockerels, If anyone wants a free cockerel, we could ship or deliver if you're close to Hudson Valley NY.
They are all very friendly, and would be great pets or show birds. We are only asking to be reimbursed for shipping.

The 23 and 16 week old cockerels (and pullet) dust bathing.

Wow! I like those 2 older boys. Very handsome! Nice upright stance. Wish Illinois wasnt so far from New York!

@homeschoolin momma
After visiting you, I weighed some of my seramas. (I didn't weigh the chicks still with their mamas.)

Angel (adult hen) 220.6 grams
She's the smallest, but feels muscular.
IMG_4794.JPG

Parmesan (laying 5.5 month pullet, hatch= Feb 16) 220.8g
She looks bigger than Angel, but has a less dense feel. Taller feathers, I guess.

Lonely (2.5 mo old pullet, hatch = May13) 220.0g
She really looks pathetic, doesn't she?
IMG_4797.JPG

The ones related to yours....
Silkied serama -my fav cockerel ( 6.5 weeks old, hatch = June 19) 152.6 g
IMG_4790.JPG IMG_4733 (2).JPG

Smooth serama, white/ but dirty (6.5 weeks old, hatch = June 19) 176.8 g IMG_4792.JPG IMG_4731 (2).JPG

Angel is staying because she's a flock favorite. The rest....... not so sure.
