Mottled?

What a little cutie!
The hen in the my pictures that is mostly browns is now mostly white. Rather a disappointment. These are my newest chicks; 13-14 grams each at hatch.

With each hatch I hope for a silkied bird. Some on my roosters and hens have the silkied gene.

From this and other pictures it appears to me the difference between mottled and splash is that splash is a more random pattern where mottled is uniform.
Physically, yes. Splash is an off white color with blue and black spots while mottled is white spots on top of any other color.
Both of those are genetically mottled. The first is black mottled and the second is red/duckwing mottled.

Since I am not planning on hatching many more serama for a while, I have serama hatching eggs available. My flock consists of smooth, frizzle and silkied genetics. Most of my flock are 10 ounces and less. PM me if you're interested.

You should place this post in buy sell trade thread for hatching eggs. I'm sure you'll get more responses.

And your birds are pretty.
