I went to Jerry's house the other day and he had about 6 serama roosters lined up. He showed me his grand champion for many years and that roo was gorgeous!!!!!!!! I'm not to familiar with seramas but he was amazing. His white frizzle rooster was also breath taking.

Sadly, we do not have him this weekend. We are forced to take him to the abuser every other weekend and we wont be able to go for other reasons - I get to see my grandson and Sunday was the only day my daughter was available. I can't wait to hold my magic bean!

chingasu...

yeah the courts are so stupid... i hate social workers... i've been battling the children's court for over a year now... they threaten us and it gets crazy... well... it sucks that he has him, but it could've been a lot worse... people tell me stories at the courthouse all the time while we wait... court is so retarded... whoever lies the best wins the case or their point... sad times we live in...

Thanks!

I see a lot of discussion, (often heated) about my line, your line, their line, keeps, culls, kills, show quality,....whatever.

If you feel like breeding, there is a lot of gratification in producing nice looking offspring. If you feel like showing, there is a lot of heartache when things don't pan out as planned. If tiny birdie enjoyment is your ultimate goal, you won't be let down by Seramas. I will always have a flock of imperfect ones to love and enjoy.

I am so Excited! I bought the pair of Seramas that no one else wanted on the BYC Auction from Jim Hall who got them from Jerry! As Jim told me just because they are on the large side does not mean they will produce all Large babies. I have 1 other Serama Hen so I will see what happens. I am generally NOT a lucky person but with chickens, Call Ducks and rabbits I do pretty well in the Luck Department.
I hatched some Call Ducks last year and a male and a Female that I sold to a 4-H kid won Grand Champion at the Denver Show. The largest Stock show in the Country. My own line. You must drive up through the Colorado National Monument to get to my house and no shows close here so I am a Home Body. I sold alot of Eggs and ducklings from my breeding until my beautiful Call Hen Died. Others were not so happy with my ducks because they were working hard to get the Grand Champion Ribbon and these came out of the wood work.

Also started with the unwanteds of several of the better Silkie Breeders to improve my Splash Silkies and hatched some Beautiful Lavenders. Had health issues so sold all the chicks at the time so waiting for them to lay again. The chicks went to another 4-H child. She is going to let me know how they do.

I will see what happens with the Seramas. To me they are all pets first. I have been reading and learning from all of you. Really wanted the Pair that Heather08 has up for Auction that produce Chocolate chicks but I think they are going to end at a price out of my range right now. Good Luck to the winner of that one! Hope to buy some of your Offspring soon.
