American serama thread!

At that age, his back looked way to long to ever 'make' anything of him. But had I culled then, I would not have this guy today:

Same bird, first picture is around 18-19 weeks old, second picture is at 11 months old. Some mature/develop quicker (like the Crele I have who looks great at 7 months), but some don't.

There's no way I could kill one of these little guys regardless how many faults they might have. I try to find good homes for them with people just wanting pets. I have some now I'm waiting to see how they turn out.

Just to clarify, 'cull' does not necessarily mean 'kill'. I've never killed one of my birds but I have 'culled' several. Thank goodness for small animal auctions!
