Hi guys! Bad news here: a friend has a month and a half old baby serama with a bad right leg. I was hoping it was a vitamin deficiency as her leg has been getting progressively worse for over a week. It's the right leg, left leg is fine. Not getting better with vitamins and electrolytes. A friend suggested MD and I believe her. It's very sad - that baby was her very first chicken. It belongs to a 7 year old. What do you guys think?
I thought we should at least give it a chance and try some vitamins. One of her vets think it's possibly a bacterial infection. I'm thinking that it's going to be very difficult to talk to her about it.

I am SO sorry that it turned out to be MD...RATS!!!!

Well, all you can do is keep plugging along and think good thoughts. Maybe vaccinate the fuzzies as an extra precaution??? I know yer gonna be doing the bio-security bologna which will be a pain in the hew-haw.....

Possible picture tailfluff? Bacterial infection from what? All you can do is Isolate / vitamins / high energy foods / practice clean clean clean / enough heat for the baby...and check more into this possible infection this vet suggested...
I know others will chime in with more info....
