I bought her as an Americana but I think she looks more like a Rhode Island. What do you think? She has such red feathers
X2Solid red plus the single comb makes me think you are correct. What color are the legs?
She was labeled as an Amerucana but I figured she was an Americana (Ee) since she was more brown but looking at her today I think she is a RIR. Her legs are yellow and her comb is big. I have two EE and they have pea combs and green legs (and give me beautiful green eggs).X2
While the most likely answer is that this is in fact a Rhode Island red (or some form of red laying breed), if the spelling that you used in your post is what was used in her labeling, it would indicate that you actually would have been purchasing Easter Eggers anyway, and since they have no one standard of appearance(pea combs and beard/muff are common but not universal), it is possible to have clean faced single combed Easter Eggers. Can you show us the whole bird?
