Americana??

Hi! Got this cutie about a month ago. We were told she was an Americana but looks completely different than my other Americanas. Any idea what breed she is? Could she still be an Americana? Thanks!!

I know this is a tad bit confusing, but "Americanas" are not a breed. "Ameraucana" is the actual breed. Americana is the name for an "Ameraucana" cross often sold at Tractor Supply stores and Grange Co-ops. Americanas (also called easter eggers) are far more common than Ameraucanas, and because Americanas are crossed, they vary alot in appearance. Hope that made sense.

Yep she could still be an Americana, just another term for Easter Egger. They can look like anything and different for each one. Basically they're a "mutt" chicken. They can lay any color of egg. Yours does look like it is a cross from an Ameraucana though, since it's bearded.
