I bought this chick as a ameraucana ( true blue egger) pullet. It has a pea comb.
This chick was solid brown when I got it. Any idea why it changed color so much does it mean I have a roo?
I am a experience chicken owner but not with this breed

It’s not an Ameraucana. It’s an Egger. It looks like a pullet so far but is a bit young

This was 2 weeks ago. It is almost ⁷ weeks now still looks the same just fuller feathers

She has an out of standard coloring that’s commonly found in EEs and has the wrong leg color. She’s an EE guaranteed

Americana is another name for Easter Egger, it is a mixed breed. Ameraucana are pure bred birds and do not come in that color. She should still lay blue eggs

Where did you purchase her? If it was from a feed store (or anywhere that wasn't a specific Ameraucana breeder) then it's a purposefully mislabeled easter egger. "Purebred fluffy cheek bird" sounds better than "mixed breed fluffy cheek bird" so they label them Ameraucana, but you're being sold an EE.

If you actually purchased it from an Ameraucana breeder I would send them photos of this bird and let them know

If a EE was in a bin labeled “Ameraucana” it’s dishonest. If it’s in a bin labeled “Americana” it’s deceptive but at least they aren’t lying.

It was a feed store. They ordered from the hatcheries.
And they sell EE as well
