Americanna not laying

My Americanna did lay eggs, then stopped for about a month and then layed eggs half of which were soft and broken. Then she stopped and the she started again with the same soft shell problem. Now she has stopped for over one month. She is one year old and I think this may be it. I only have 3 birds so i am hesitant to get rid of her but I want some eggs. The other two birds are prolific. What to do?

Are you feeding oyster shells for calcium?

They need calcium for hard shell eggs.

Hi ! If her eggs are consistently soft, she may not be getting enough calicum. Make sure she always has oyster shell free choice. Her inconsistent laying may be due to broodiness. Does she stay on the nest alot without laying? If she does she's broody. I just had a hen get out of her broodiness. It lasted 3 weeks even though she didn't have eggs to sit on.

I'm loading them up of calcium and the other two give me hard eggs.
