I think the Seavey family needs to step down and let someone else win, lol. Dallas has won it 4 times in 5 years now, and I'm not sure how many his dad has won.

There is a family from out west that comes to The Pas World Championship Dog Sled Race. the father and 2 sons(1 or more teams placing) have won 8 or 9 X in a row. they work hatrd their dogs are coveted even more-so than Streepers'.
Susan Butcher won the Iditarod 3 X in row didn't she? Her dogs were going for a premium.There are kennels in the mushing world that started out with crap dogs, added Susan Butcher's "wolfie" dogs and they now have excellent racers. Lotsa kennels have lotsa dogs that go back to Susan's dogs.

More power to Seavy fam. Someone will come along soon enough. I personally hope it's Jessie Royer.

OK so I decided not to buy Hank a pup harness because he's growing really big fast! He's taller than Nala at 5months!
I'm just going to buy nala her x back then train Hank in hers until he out grows it then buy him a new then when he out grows it buy a new one and sell the old.

I started nalas foot work! She's doing great, she's not a confident dog so I'm building that. Nala's a whole lot better on on by, let's go hot hot(faster, because Nalanstarts off walking) right, straight a head, whoa

The dog transport unit I acquired is not so great. The hay(not straw) that was in it as bedding was in there for quite some time and it got mouldy then started the floor to rotting. It smells like an old shed...musty and mouldy. I'm gona try the pressure-washer and dry it out good then paint it then see what happens.
Gee and after I worked on gettting the door hinges and claps to work properly and the lights(markers and signals etc). I also fabricated a better?, sleeker? SLICKER keeper-rail system for holding the sleds on top of the unit.
I feel kinda let down. Oh well, live and learn. Something was telling me to build my own my way. Gona do it eventually I think.
Ya.... mushing season is definitely over.

There is still snow drifts here and there and a great deal of my trail is still visible but it's rainig now and it warmed-up quite a bit so I would venture to guess that it'll be all gone by this Friday if not sooner. Goodbye fair winter. Till we meet again.

News of my Buddy Charlie Lundy. One of the trail checkers got to him. He was on the trail camping. He scratched this year's HBC because he has arthritis and it was really acting up, actually crippling pain.
My nephew as a matter of fact did not enter this year. Hmmm...maybe I should go show up my nephew next year.
lol. Probably get run over by Moose or a Polar Bear.

Hank broke another Stupid Cllar! So I have to go spend my harness money on a collar! I'm going to add as much as I can with staying in the $5 shipping range

My moms helping me find side jobs and a summer Jon for 3 reasons
1) I'm saving up for Mushing equipment
2) she said if I get the $$ I can buy a horse
3) she's tired of me asking for stuff
