They are eating more now because its cold.
Their exercise hasn't changed.
All are dewormed and are fixed.

I try to keep enough bedding in their houses so they aren't using so much energy at night. The problem in the weather in unpredictable so nights they are using tons of energy to keeping warn and other nights they aren't using any.

It seems you're doing everything to keep them healthy. Water? Gee. I'm miffed.
Just today I put rag doors on my racing dogs' houses. Last year I didn't do that until after Christmas. It sure helped. Hopefully it'll help again.
But up and down weight like that..... ...????
BMs ?? Maybe they don't poop regularly?
Just random thoughts.

It's "no more dogs" and " to many dogs right now" only 5 inside! That's not alot! My older brothers coming over sat, so im gunna see how soon he's taking him dog. Then I'm gunna bring up a few things and see where the conversation goes with my older sister, she if she's moving out and taking her crappy dog, SHE DOESN'T EVEN WANT HER!! Then ima gunna see when my other brothers moving out( I want his room) and see if he's taking nala. 2-3 should be leaving soon.
Any more ideas?

It sounds like you have taken a lot of different scenarios into consideration. I think the only thing to seriously look at is patience..... ...and play your scenarios if/when they come up... ..in a respectful manner
1 thing I tell my kids is "what we think we want is often very different from what we get."

They have access to water 24/7 and they get water in their food at night. I might put rag doors on the houses. Dont know why i didnt think of that :P

Only 5?! We only have 3 and dad says that's too many! (Mainly because they don't really have a job...). Anyways, I don't have anymore ideas at the moment.

I agree. And that is a good saying. :)

i have 4 dogs. My folks dont think its too many, (after going to a dog lot with 50+ dogs, any number seems small) i just dont have the space in the dog yard right now.

Wow. Only 5? Inside?
At one point I had 68 adults. Not one inside.

Yeah only 5inside. It wouldn't hurt to add little hank. By the time he's grown well only have like 3-4 inside not counting him.

But after school I'm

Writing down pros and cons about him and keeping him
Writing down why I want him, making a list of supply's and prices.

Feeding pups
Homework

That's my day.

I think Dad wants dogs that have a job (ie. sled dogs) and somewhat pay for themselves. We have a collie/heeler cross we use to help chase horses/cows but he wasn't taught properly so he's not the best at it, we've got a lab trained for bird hunting but we rarely go bird hunting. The last one, lab/dane cross was a rescue and doesn't have a job.

:thud 68?!?! My parents would kill me if I ever had that many! How many dogs do you have now? How did you remember who was who? Lol

Good. Doing your homework always helps pave the road.....

Yeah. Heh-heh! That was my plan too.
I prefer the term "kennel" or "care facility" to "lot". Seems like "used car lot" or "lake front lot". Y'know, like it's kinda "commerce"ish.
