Sometimes when you are housebreaking a pet they will associate getting punished with having an accident in the house, which causes them not to. Now, I don't think you should beat Hank, but I'd punish him as his mother would scold him; dogs can't hit, so you shouldn't either. Now yes, sometimes that may be affective but not always safe for the dog. I had a dog once that had bladder problems because when he was punished, he got kicked. So whenever he was happy, he would pee all over you and everything else uncontrollably. I'd scold him by firmly saying no (while you have his attention) and punish him like Nala would. But that's just me. I parent used to do that too if our dogs got into the garbage but it hasn't helped much.

Actually, pink isn't that bad of a color. But mushing isn't about what you look like.

Glad to hear they are doing well. Can't wait for pics.

That depends, will she be able to handle that and mushing? As in, will she be able to keep her commands and such straight? And know when it's time to pull and when not to? If you think she could handle that, then I say go for it.

I talked to my mentor and she used her sleddogs for 4h agility and won every year.So I guess Meringue will be doing agility now too!

I'd get peeved-off too if some "dang mutt" peed on my floor. That's a part of why I don't keep my dogs in the house.
I have seen so many dogs that are kept in doors develop diabetes, gross overweight, hemmoorids and urine tract infections. All of these afflictions are directly a symptom of being kept in the house, overfed commercial dogfood, poop and pee only when we "greatly more intelligent" humans decide to "allow" them, ei: when we take them for "their daily walk".
As for reprimanding them for "accidents"..... if you had noticed, in the dog world mommy does'nt scold them for peeing or pooping. She uses her own tongue to clean them and as a matter of fact she uses her tongue to actually stimulate pups to BM(poop) or urinate(pee) and cleans them up with her tongue.
The only biological entity to stray far from Nature'God's creation' are us "greatly more intelligent" humans, Doubt??? Just get real, get humble and look around with our eyes open to see this truth. We are the only creature that scolds their young for peeing and/or pooping. That's a big reason we have so many medical problems with our anus and urine ducts such as hemmoroids, anal retentive attitudes, high blood pressure and urine infections. the list is extensive.
Some may think it's gross to talk like this but it is just truth.
....LOL..On that note, "if honesty is a virtue why do most people hate it so?"
Maybe keep him outside.........

au contriare my friend.
It's all about "putting on the dog".
One time it was about survival where we competed with other animals and Mother Earth to stay alive. Now??!!... it's a sport where we compete with with other people.
Yes pink is actually a beautiful color. And as a a matter of fact I look really good in pink.

Puppy pix... I'm waiting for my daughter to come home for a vzt so she can do her thing with ?iPad?..
Probably tomorrow afternoon. But don't hold your breath

Yep, I also think I will help her stay in shape when it's too hot to run dogs.
Agility will probably heat her up as much or more than running. Domestic dogs, wolves, dingos, African Hunting Dogs(and any other K9 types) are all built for running. Yes they've always needed agility for the kill but they depend on their ability to run sometimes long long distances to get to the kill point then get agile.
So maybe do both at the same time time. I don't mean the same second or even hour or day. What I mean is agility on Monday and run on Tuesday kinda thing.
????? Just a suggestion.... something to think about.

Yeah. Whats the total count of pups? 7 right?

Ya, 7. They are all healthy and active. They come out of the house but mostly stay in the porch part. Once in a while 1 or 2 will venture out into the snow but not for long. It's pretty cold here. Last night it was -34*C at 10:30PM with a windchill of -49. So I'm glad they are'nt really really adventurous.

masinasiw (Muh See Nawh Seeu) splotched is very leader. She's always the first to do something and come greet me.
sipikasiw(ee Pee Kuh Seeu) he/she/(the third party) is blue is the shyest. Never know with these dogs. Could turn out to be a very very good lead. Or will always be wheel.
Little mokoman(MooKooMuhn)knife is the one that barks and actually does seem to be the sharpest, most discerning of the bunch. Excellent point with option to lead. Probably gona be a real noisy inspiration to rest of them come hitching time.
ayimisiw(AhYiMihSeeu)stern is definitely that and most likely the rock and either wheel or swing.
naheyikok(NuhHayYeeKhoohk)just in the nic of time is either point or team right behind it
nikanastim(NiKahnAhStim)lead dog is ironically not a leader but a real good point.
okiniy(O Kihn Nee)rosebud is the smallest. She'll be team, swing or wheel.

Pictures tomorrow I hope.
