So I guess I was off on Nalas heat cycle.. Oops
Well she defiantly in heat though, she was hanging out with Hanks father and well in 9-10 weeks we might have more monster dogs

why couldn't she have found oh maybe a lab or a Sib or something smaller..
If she has more I'm Gunnar try for a female this time

That's not good. But if she does have another litter of 'monster dogs' you will have some pretty good sized wheel dogs, lol.

It does my heart good to see so many posts revolving around mushing. I don't even see this many on SDC. That or I just could/or didn't have access to it.
Phew! That Hank is a good sized wheeler eh. The only problem I'v had w leggy wheelers is the harness pulls the butt down. That's hard on the back and hips. I'v hada start using the harnesses with the longer traces and spreader stick. Problem: stick has a tendancy to hit the heels, hocks and haunches. So I have learned/decided to put/train/use my leggier dogs up front in lead, point or ahead-team and use the stouter/shorter ones in behind-team, swing and wheel. The reason is because a lot of the time I'm not on a dressed trail and/or raw/fresh/unbroken/untreaded snow.
I don't intend insult but I hope Nala aint pregnant and doesn't get that way from any other than a Husky. To my way of thinking it's waste of energy, good blood and beauty to have a non-Husky breed her again. Dang... if she were closer I would let Shadow(or Regal, Max or Burner(or even ayimisew)) at her and just take first pick male and female.
I am happy charnic took out her dogs. I too would love to see some pix.
I'm taking my 2 youngest dotrs & 2 in the dogsled today . They been after me since Wed eve.
Question.... is anyone else having probs with there typing on this site? It's been taking quite some time to compose posts for the last month. The whole site has been slow. Not so with other sites so it isn't my laptop.

Well Nala got out again today :(
2 intact males were over and lead Nala to the field and now all you hear is poor Nala paying the price of Mating lol
She's a screamer haha
Its all melted ice over here all :/
And to your question yes I do have a typing problem

That's just bad. You are incorrigible. Facetious even.

However I can appreciate your sense of humor.
It sure is warm here too. My trails have very very little snow left on them. So ya..."

This site is very slow on my laptop. It's very hard to navigate. It sometimes takes me 20mins to type a response or post anything.
And then to try navigate the rest of the site is painful.

I too wish shed be bred to a good Husky. my friend has one but we didn't plan on more pups

LOL. If you are going to leave her intact it's a given to expect pups. Especially more so if you are going to let her run free.
Even with my regimen of tethering and kenneling I still have the odd un-planned brood. Once in awhile because one my Huskys would get loose but mostly because some irresponsible people let their mutts run loose. Also sadly for the mutts.....they end up in my dog yard or front lawn wearing a red spotted and/or splotched coat where there were no spots and/or splotches a few seconds earlier.
My definition of "mutts" is a domestic canine of mixed breeding, more often than not unplanned and/or with more than 2 separate out-crossings..... ...thought here

.........."as opposed to the "mutt"-looking shorthaired, floppy eared, long droopy tailed ALASKAN HUSKY that are very diligently planned and purposely bred." I thought I better mention that because I wouldn't want to inadvertently cause any hard feelings with my other "mushing thread dotrs".

I forgot something earlier. Actually I more got sick of how long it was taking things to load up as well as had pressing issues to deal with at home and on the road. So I just decided to send responses.
Even now I am difficulty with how slow this is going. but I am going to try post some pix of my home mushing area/territory.
Although picturesque it is a harbinger of ill times to soon be upon us(my area).

I hope this works

In my opinion, Alaskan Huskies are glorified mutts with a purpose. Haha! At least mine are. I mean, my definition of mutt is different, though. To me, mutt just means the dog has more than 2 breeds in it. 1 breed: purebred. 2 breeds: crossbred. 3+ breeds: mutt. Now, mutts aren't bad or worth any less; some of the best dogs we've ever owned were mutts. Lol.

Hey Blue, are you by chance running dogs with Josi Thyr? The reason I ask is because I was reading one of her blog posts and she mentioned a jr. musher with a dog named Meringue.

I second that opinion.
