Vote is in. Overwhelmingly in favor of varnish/varathane/urethane as opposed to paint. It's like 27-10.
I will eventually post some pix when I am eventually done.

Rosie girl, How is Nala and her pups doin?

First, I love your doors. I'd like to do something like that for mine but I'm nowhere near artistic. Maybe I will have to design something on the computer.
I love the blue but I'm gonna go with varnish.
I will probably have the videos posted by tomorrow or Saturday (hopefully). I was messing with it today and I think I have it figured out so we should be good to go as long as my internet cooperates, lol.
charnic, I'm still waiting for directions/link to your video.

I think it'd look a lot cooler if you simply varnished it. I feel like if you paint it, it might be a tad overwheming to look at.

I seriously love the colour of that sled. It's so pretty.

Blue, do you know where Peguis, MB. is? I don't know where you are but you have my permission to "Goolge Maps" search for my area.
I have some K9's that are rescues. My racing buddy took them from an abusive musher. I also have some that were kept as pets as per the request of my children. I am the only one taking care of these K9's and I am getting sore in my bones. It's an age thing eh. LOL.
If you get here you can have Oreo and Spaticus. Oreo is on the small side but she has a huge heart when it comes to pulling. Sparticus slows to a trot eventually but his line is never slack. He's also a decent leader.
I'll give you Keyno too. She's a good runner but she needs work. Lots actually. I've only ever had her hooked up 2x. Kinda finicky eater but lotsa heart and friendly. She's Husky and BorderCollie so you gota watch the meds/de-wormer.
While I'm at it Angel can go with you too.. He's pure husky and beautiful. Pure white w/brown eyes, good feet, good appetite, good coat, but small too small for my teams.
I figure you could breed Sparticus to Oreo(for speed), Angel to Keyno(coat and feet(and looks)) then take the pups from each litter and breed them. You would get some awesome distance (100miles+) dogs. I guess some people call them "Iditarod type dogs".
All I want in return is to know that they will have their heritages/training honored....feed 'em, water 'em, de-worm 'em and let 'em work.

Hi char. I have just designed another port for the doors on a transport unit. Posting it for you to consider for your dog transport unit...
Oh! Hello! It popped on ahead of this msg. Oh Well...it's there.
The blue is what you would cut out. I would put bolts/screws attachers , (lol) where the eyes of the husky silhouette would be, 1 each to the left and up a bit of the far left claw/paw space, straight to the right of the far right claw, to the right and down a bit from the far right of foot pad and the last one to the left and straight out from essentially the middle of the foot pad.
I am also looking at the same idea but with a howling wolf or husky (K9 of some kind).
Lemen wutcha think

Videos: my internet is being super slow and taking forever to upload them (I am on my phone currently).
400
I'd Cutout the white (toes, nails, and pad) and leave the dog. Id cut out the black lines on the toes and the mountains (?) on the pad too and just leave the howling wolf/dog. Then screw a bolt/screw where the eye would be to stabilize it.

oooooooooooo. Nice. I wouldn't want the job cutting it out though.
It'd be a whole lot easier if you cut it out whilst it's still"un-attached" to the unit...you know...door off...probly laying flat on a topless drum so you could cut and all the pieces would just ust fall down into the drum. I know that if I ever do another I will not have the doors already mounted.
