I'd Cutout the white (toes, nails, and pad) and leave the dog. Id cut out the black lines on the toes and the mountains (?) on the pad too and just leave the howling wolf/dog. Then screw a bolt/screw where the eye would be to stabilize it.

I took the liberty of looking closely at the design and "put in a few things here and removed a few things there".
Just a cpl slight changes will make it stronger and easier. Stronger in that it won't have a buncha stuff just floating and need more "attachers" and easier in that it wont be as intricate to cut. but still a vary unique vent design.
You'll see the little changes when you put the pic (I added) beside the one you posted earlier.
Also flipped it so you got 1 for the other side.
Oh ya...you don't hafta cut out the eyes since that's where the "attachers" will go.

So..... How do you catch a unique rabbit?

Simple, you neak up on him.

so i dont have sled dogs or any of the sort, but i have dogs and found this thread to be informative any when it comes to dogs. i have a dog that is a pit mix (maybe a hound mix) who has a ton of energy. i have been wanting to take him running with me when i go to run. i run for maybe 20 mins but wasnt sure if that is too long for him sense he hast ran that long before. would i need to work him up to 20 mins.

and also when should i feed him, before or after. i usually run at night it isnt cold where i live either i live in PR.

by the way your dogs are beautiful

this is the guy i want to take running with me

LOL. I think you will embarrass yourself thinking you will tire this handsome/pretty K9 in a mere 20 mins. If you are just "2-legged human style running" as opposed to running a treadmill driven sports car capable of 60 MPH, this healthy looking youngster will probably be begging for more "running time" when you are pooped. K9's are built for running. It's in their DNA. They aint like cats to wait quietly in ambush or for short spurts. Domestic K9's, wolves, coyotes, etc, are built for the longhaul when it comes to running. That's their "style". Even Dachshunds and Bulldogs can keep it up much longer than the vast majority of humans.
Do not feed your dog b4 you exercise him/her. Make sure your K9 has had at the very least 1 hour after eating. If you feed him/her and exercise right after his/her stomach could flip over and kill him/her.
I killed a beautiful 1/4 Sibe/1/4 Qimmiq//1/4ArcticWolf/1/4Qimmiq dog like that. Fed him and went for a load of wood. Next morning he was dead. Flatulence build-up in the stomach due to "flipped-stomach". I felt horrible. So ya, wait at-least an hour after feeding.
By the way, looking at your K9 from my point of view, there are probably quite a few "Racing Mushers" out there that would love to have that dog of yours.

Fist off, that is a very handsome dog you have there.

I really don't think 20 minutes will make him tired. He looks like a healthy dog and like Rez said, dogs are built for running.

Rez was on point when he said wait at least an hour. It's a horrible feeling to find your k9 friend dead because of a flipped stomach.

Aw. U 2? It's awful eh. I just got teared-up. Mixed emotions,.... compassion and empathy...and a bit of self pity.

Still lookin for pix.

thanks for the info. ill try everything you said. maybe if i lived closer i would love to have given him to some one who does what you guys do. i originally found him on the street in PR skin and bone. but unfortunately there arent any mushers on the island.

i have taken him to the forest and climbed a mountain with him. he seemed to have acted like if it were nothing.
