Americauna egg delay

Our Americauna is over 7 months old and not laying yet. Is this normal?

I can't say if it's normal. My EE (what is usually termed an americauna) laid for the first time yesterday and she's 24 weeks. I hope you get some eggs soon!!

I got my Americuanas from Welps hatchery in April, and I just got my first green egg. I thought I had ordered exotic soup chickens!

They do seem to be late bloomers!

At least I'm not the only one. I bought 2 fully grown EE pullets who were "weeks away from laying"... 9 weeks ago. No eggs yet! The woman I bought them from doesn't remember when they were hatched, so I have no idea when they were actually 'born', but I'm guessing they're way past the 30 week mark!
