Americauna not laying yet...

I've had EEs that lay light brown eggs.

Also, I've had pure bred Ameraucanas that didn't start laying until they were 10 months old.

Good to know! What's the difference between EEs and pure Ameraucanas?

I'll probably jump the gun and end up with one more hen anyway, 'cuz I can be like that.

That is good to know - I have an Ameracauna 32 weeks old, has never laid an egg. I've been worried that something is wrong with her. A few months ago, the rooster did his circle chase around her - but she is very skittish and I'm sure he couldn't catch her. Now he chases her away from the food.

My EE's from HMB Feed were born the later part of July and I still have no eggs

I have two brown and one light yellow with green legs. My other three RIRs and BR have been fairly good layers, and they started at about 5.5 mos, but these EEers are S.L.O.W.

Pure Bred Ameraucanas conform to the breed standard that you can find at the Ameraucauna Breeders Club website.

EEs can be anything really.

I really want to rehome the one that lays brown eggs.... or get at least one chick out of her., but I've never seen my Blue Wheaten roo get successful with her.

I have 4 chickens, a RIR, a Buff orpington, a Barred Rock, and an Ameracauna. I got them all in the middle of March. They are now a little over 5 months old. I live inYakima, Washington so we have COLD winters and HOT summers. The Americauna is the only one that isn't laying. I'm hoping she is just holding out until spring because I'm looking forward to the colorful eggs! I have never heard of the chicken squat but that would make sense because the Americauna is the only one that isn't doing it.

I'm almost possitive because I've been watching the chickens go up into their coop to lay thier eggs each morning and i have never seen her do it. I have also never had more than 3 eggs a day.
