"Americauna" or Easter Egger or ? Gender?

$6 bucks for an unsexed chick! You can pick them up at most feed stores for $3 for vent sexed pullets.

Not in July in MN, unfortunately. We were late to the game to decide to get chicks this year, then ordered some from the farm store on the last week of orders.

Oh, and the chick is I'm guessing 3 1/2 weeks old.

I agree with most everyone here. I read the breed description on the website and it stated that "they come in a variety of colors. Black, white and even black and white." Along with various other colors she listed, I do not think that the true bred Ameraucanas come in that much variety. Also, any EE I have had, even when they are created myself from my backyard stock, I generally get Pea combs and their beaks all start turning dark by the time they are 2 months old. Also, most of mine end up with the dark legs, but not all end up with muffs or beards.

Ok, so I'm new to the chicken world and have only had chickens since March. In May we got some chickens and in that bunch we got some Amercauna chick hens but I'm having a hard to telling the sex and if they are even true amercauna's? They are 10 weeks old and I know it's really hard to actually be able to tell te sex but one of mine has a different look than the other 2? So, I was wondering if someone could help me out a little?

Now I have another question. We have 2 light brahmas and their combs are so different. One of them is a single comb and the other a pea comb I think? Is there a reason for this?

Both have pea combs, it's just that one is male.
