I was sold this beauty as an Americauna but I've been researching and some posts on here make me think it might be an Easter Egger. Also, will her comb get bigger like my sex link or will it stay small? My sex link just started laying and all 4 of my girls are supposed to be about the same age. My sex link and RIR are the only 2 that look like they are ready to lay. My buff orp has a comb but its pink and small so I'm assuming it it going to take some time but this girl has nothing going on. 20180715_174427_Film1.jpg 20180715_174453_Film1.jpg

Ameraucana come in only certain colors and Colombian isn't one of them. You bird lacks muffs too. I believe your pullet is a mixed breed, too mixed to even be considered an Easter egger though it may be mixed with one. You will have to see what color egg it lays.

The comb type is a pea probably, where a sex link has a single comb usually which is a much bigger comb. Your pullets comb will enlarge as the approaches the point of lay, but will never be really big.

I even thought maybe a Brahma but she doesn't have the furry feet. I'm "expecting" her to lay blueish/gray eggs similar to her leg color but guess it'll be surprise! Lol
Easter eggers are a mixed breed that is slowly losing traits it was known for. Some no longer have muffs and some don't even lay colored eggs. I haven't seen an Easter egger in Colombian, but that doesn't mean it's not one. It will be interesting either way and is a interesting looking bird.

I had an Easter Egger hen that looked like that. She was from a Columbian Rock hen and a white/green/gorgeous EE rooster. My hen laid green eggs, I bet yours will too!

Pretty bird. Please come back to this thread when she starts laying to let us know what color egg she lays. I have a Colombian Wyandotte who is an excellent first time Mama to 10 chicks. Nobody messes with her babies.
