Google EE's vs Ameraucanas they will tell you its the tail, tuffs, Blue egg gene, etc.

I often get them confused but I though that Ameraucanas had muffs and beard, not tuffs.

I believe she's an EE. I have one just like her and they are beautiful, hearty chickens.

The white earlobes (and nonstandard color) mean she’s an Easter Egger. Ameraucanas always have red earlobes.

Thanks!! I got her from a neighbor so I don't know exactly where she came from. Yeah I put Ameraucana but audo correct it's so frustrating. I love her and she is gorgeous, I just wanted to breed her and didn't know if she had one or two blue egg genes, but y'all say EE so only one. I'm getting some Ameraucana from tractor supply, are they true or miss labled EE's

Isn't Google great. You can find anything with Google but the hardest thing to find a lot of times is accurate information.

The gene for blue eggs is dominant, so when an Ameraucana or Easter Egger, or I guess a legbar or any other blue egg laying breed for that matter, crosses with another breed, the mix breed hens will also likely lay blue eggs, or maybe olive eggs if the other parent in the mix is a brown egg laying breed.

She looks like my amuracana I have and her cheeks are puffy a EE is a hybrid from what I read so since her cheeks are so puffy I think it’s a amuracana don’t know if I’m spelling it right
